This week we began to study magnets. The kids have enjoyed some hand-on lessons exploring magnetism. The kids noticed that things that are metal "stick" to magnets. Today I cleared up a misconception. Only things that have a sticky surface can stick to magnets. Tape can stick to magnets. However, things that are made of metal are attracted to magnets. I will continue to reinforce the new vocabulary word throughout the unit. In coming days we will be doing more experiments with magnets!
