I Spy...

I spy a shape that has no straight sides and no corners. It is purple.

We just wrapped up a unit on shapes (focusing on circles, triangles, rectangles, and squares). The kids learned to identify shapes by the number of sides and corners. To apply what the kids learned we played the good old game of I Spy. The kids were required to describe the shape that they spied by the characteristics of the shape. We played by spying shapes in the picture above but also with things we saw around the classroom. It was fun to see how much the kids really got into it (and how much they got out of it)!
